Is there such a thing as the 'worst blogger award?' I haven't posted something in almost a month and I feel terrible about it. And yes, there it is again, that lame little excuse: "I've been extyremely busy." Yep, I've been really busy. Again with school and testweek and loads of other fun stuff. When I painted my nails it was either a polish I already posted or it was too dark to take pictures outside. So, I apologize for that and I hope you'll forgive me :(

Ofcourse I did not only want this to be a sad sad apology-post...so here's a little nailswatch! It's George Blueney from Catrice, a very pretty dark blue base loaded with tiny blue and green glitters/glass flecks. I used two coats and a layer of topcoat.

Isn't it pretty? I got this on a 1+1 discount and I'm reaaaally liking it :D Honestly, I'm a sucker for these kind of polishes and I'll admit I have about 5 polishes that kind of look like this. Woops. 

On other news: It's snowing in Holland! Also, Sem and Mila are allowed to go outside now and they love it. They absolutely love it. They also really like the snow so I went outside and took some pictures of them (and Luna ofourse!).

Naaaaw! Luna is getting quite used to them and I think she secretly likes them. She finally has a new buddy to play with: Sem!

Top 5 Fall Favorite Nailpolishes!

Hello everyooone! I actually planned on doing an actual nailpost today but because of my work all my nails broke and they're really short at the moment :( So I figured I'd do a little Fall Favorites nailpolish edition for you guys! Let's go :)

Let's start off with number 5, Herôme - Kingston.

Kingston is a goldenbeige/champagne holographic polish that matches all of the fall 2012 fashion! Pictures HERE. 

Next up, number 4, Catrice - Caught On The Red Carpet.

COTRC is a dark jelly red, suitable for honestly any season of the year and I really like it (that's also why half of my bottle is empty). Pictures HERE. 

Number 3, Essence - Walk On The Wild Side.

WOTWS is a dark green polish with tiny little green shimmers. Very pretty! I actually haven't had the chance to swatch this yet, but I'm excited about trying this one out :D

Almost there! Number 2, China Glaze - Smoke And Ashes

Smoke And Ashes is a GORGEOUS polish from the CG Hungergames collection and I absolutely adore this polish! It looks like a starry night in summer. A black base with duochrome little shimmers shifting from blue to turquoise to green. Amazing. Pictures HERE. 

Number 1...drumroll, please...China Glaze - Purr-fect Plum!

I do not only like Purr-fect Plum because of its purr-fect name, but also very very much because of the purr-fect colour! This colour screams fall 2012 to me. Walk around my school for just 10 minutes and you will see this colour in sooo many outfits, it's crazy. This wine-purple coloured polish should be in everyone's stash this fall! Purr-fect Plum is from the CG On Safari collection :) Pictures HERE.

My first Essie polish! Mint Candy Apple ♥

I'm so exciteeeed! Today my first ever Essie nailpolish arrived :D I ordered Mint Candy Apple and I'm just....loving it. It's such a purretty colour and the formula is AMAZING! Just look at these pictures.

I applied 3 layers of MCA and waited about 5 minutes inbetween to let it dry. After the 3 coats dried (wich took about 10 minutes) there were NO bubbles, NO scratches, nothing. It applied like a dream and the finish is superglossy. No topcoat needed! I think I will be buying more Essie polishes...very soon. So, any recommendations? What is your favourite Essie polish?

Good Luck Earth and Kitty Update #8

Yaaaay, weekend! My first week of school has been....extremely boring. That's why I am so happy I finally had the time to do something about my terrible-looking nails this afternoon, lol! I used Deborah Milano - Good Luck Green and sponged the top with SpaRitual - Earth Matters, one of the polishes I won in a giveaway hosted by Lucy!

Isn't it a gorgeous colour? Such a pretty shade of green. The formula and drying time were also amazing! This polish is like half jelly half creme, so cool. Also, this polish will match a lot of the fall clothes in stores now! Yes, I like this polish :D

Now, on to the kitty update. The kitties are doing great and are becoming actual kittycats!

Also, Luna has been really nice to the kitties. Maybe it's because she can eat all their food (they don't dare to protest, Luna is still a lot bigger haha), or maybe because she finally sees they're actually really cute and fun kitties to hang out and play with! I personally think it's because of the first reason...

NYC - Mint Macaroon

Hello! So..one day later than expected, but here it is, a nail-post :D About a week ago I bought 2 new polishes, and here is one of them: NYC - Mint Macaroon. It applied like a dream, and it was opaque in only 2 coats!

I tried to get Mila and Sem on a kittypic too but they were running around like crazy and it was impossible to get a picture of them haha.. Mint Macaroon is a very pretty mint green crème, and dried in no time. It looks kind of blue in some pictures, but it is actually really green! Well, light-mint-green. Yes, I've decided I like NYC polishes. I bought one more and I'll show you that one soon too!

Essence - A Walk In The Park

Hey guys! Today is a very special day because it is Milou's birthdaaaaaay :D Sweet sixteen hun, I love you! 

You might have heard about the Essence Colour 3 duo polishes, and I actually bought 2 a little while ago but I didn't really swatch them. So now I would like to show you A Walk In The Park, and I didn't apply the effect layer thingy because I think it doesn't really match this particular colour.. It should be on top of a blue colour but not this beautiful green! Ok, enough talking. I used two coats and no topcoat.

I love this colour. It's a deep green with really pretty light green shimmers! I think the first picture is most colour accurate. Application was fine even though the bottle is a bit strange ofcourse. Drying time was less great because it took me about 45 minutes to dry and it were only two coats. Mwah.

I'm really happy with this polish because I think it is very pretty! What do you think, would you buy it?

China Glaze - Smoke and Ashes

A big hello to all my lovely followers out there! Today I'm going to show you my swatches of Smoke and Ashes from the Hungergames collection by China Glaze. This was one of the polishes I immediately knew I wanted so as you can imagine I was reaaaally excited to try it. I used 2 coats of Smoke and Ashes and 1 layer of topcoat. Allright, here we go!

Pretty amazing huh? It reminds me of a very starry and pretty night! Here's a bottlepic, that is even prettier:

So I'm really happy with the look of this polish, though I would've really wanted to see more of that duochrome glitter that is visible in the bottle but not on the nails. It's a nice colour but I think I'll wear this more often as soon as fall begins, because I LOVE bright and happy colours in spring and summer :D

Golden Rose Scale #06 over Essence - Bella

Hi guys! Sorry for not posting in a while but I have had a busy week so I didn't get the chance to write a blogpost but I did paint them.. Yesterday I had a party to celebrate Lisa's 16th birthday (wich is today!) and I had loads of fun (happy birthday sweetie, thanks for inviting me :D). I wore a turquoise blouse and I wanted something on my nails to match them. I applied two layers of Essence - Bella, 1 of Golden Rose Scale Effect #06 and 1 layer of Essence matt topcoat. Let's look at the final result first!

So, I think it is very very veeeeeeery purretty but I don't really get why there are 3 copper flakies on my ringfinger? It's so strange, they don't colour-shift or anything they're just plain copper. Oh well, still pretty!

In bright lights the flakies turn all pink and invisible so I like it better in darker lights where all the flakies turn green, blue and prettyyyyyyyy...

PS. I got a question in my last blogpost from Jossy and she asked what is my favourite nailpolish of all time and if I'm going to do the nailpolish obsession tag.

Well, my favourite nailpolish of all time is still China Glaze - For Audrey. I adore the colour, the formula, everything about it actually! And erhm sure, I could do the nailpolish obsession tag! Are there more people who want to see me do this? Let me know in the comments and maybe I'll just do it!
