Flake It Moulin Rouge!

Helloooo! I actually was going to do a nailpost earlier this week but I've been so sick and I just couldn't do anything... But, I'm feeling a tiny bit better so I decided to just do this quick little post. I applied 2 coats of one of my favourite nudes, Catrice - Moulin Rouge Light, and then applied 2 layers of Catrice - Shake It! Flake It! Tadaaaaaa.....Flake It Moulin Rouge!
daylight, no flash.

Here are some close-upsssss:

Ooooooh colour-shifting :D

I really like this combo! Application and everything was great, but I think that is mostly because I applied some fast drying topcoat haha. Oh by the way, if anyone of you needs a good, budget topcoat: Essence Studio Nails Ultra Gloss Nail Shine really does the trick! I would write some more but I'm just not feeling very well sorry guys :(

Essence new polishes: Cookie Love + Nude Glam Cookies & Cream

Hey everyooone! Today I will be showing you two Essence polishes from their new collection. Both named something with cookie! Let's begin with Cookie Love from the Colour & Go collection. I used two coats and no topcoat.

daylight, no sun, no flash.

close-up from the bottle..isn't that purrrretty?

kittypics!

Cookie Love is a gorgeous brown polish with small golden glitters and some golden flakies :D The flakies are not that visible on your nails, but when you look really closely you'll see some. Formula was great on this one, applying was good and drying time was only 10 minutes.

So here's the next one, Cookies & Cream from the Nude Glam collection. I used 3 coats and one layer of topcoat.
shade, no flash.

indirect sunlight, no flash.

outside, sunlight, no flash! (most colour accurate)

close-up, shimmers!

more kittypics!

The colour is pretty much the same as Hazelnut Cream Pie, but HCP has that Chanel - Paradoxal purple shimmer and C&C has golden and silver shimmer. I didn't particularly like the formula on this one, I had to apply 3 coats and a topcoat because it tends to get a little bubbly.

Wich one do you like better, Hazelnut Cream Pie or Cookies & Cream?

Essence Nude Glam - Hazelnut Cream Pie

Well hello there! A lot of people have been searching Google for "Essence Nude Glam" and got to my blog to just see a bottle pic so I figured why just not swatch it for you all? :D I have Hazelnut Cream Pie, a pretty nude with a little surprise..

daylight, no flash.

daylight, with flash.

kittypic!

So here's the little surprise..it has the very famous Chanel - Paradoxal purple shimmer!

It's not very visible but still, surprising right?

So, it's very pretty but a bit too light for my skintone. Drying time was great, opaque in only 2 coats (that's amazing for a nude!) and it looks pretty :D

Because you all seemed to love the previous pic I send you of our new yet-to-be-named-kitty, I decided to include one in this post aswell :D

Again, can you think of a name for this cutie? What do you think of the name Jessie?

Franken on a wednesday - the perfect nude

I think every girl needs her perfect nude nailpolish, and...I got it! Well, I had to mix some polishes together for it but it turned out great! I bought "Nude" from the Action (a store who I think all of my dutch readers know) but it was way too orange and sheer for me. I poured some nailpolish out of the bottle and added some Essence white stampy polish, loads of normal white polish, 3 drops of Catrice - Moulin Rouge Light and 1 drop of Superstar - Skinny Vanilla Latte. Tadaaa!

normal light, no flash.

daylight, no flash. most colour-accurate pic, I think...

outside, no flash. very cold though!

kittypic!

I think nudes are elegant and sophisticated, and I simply adore this one! It's still quite on the pink side, but it's less pink than Moulin Rouge Light. Drying time was awfull though, this is two coats and it took me soooo long to get this dry.

Anyway, can you guys help me think of a name for this little franken?

Chic Vanilla Latte

Today I have a pink-ish mani for you, created with 2 polishes I got from Lucy from an unknown brand (for me) named Superstar. The polishes I used are Skinny Vanilla Latte, a nude/pink/brownish creme and SoHo Chic, a light pink foil.

Sorry for the not-so-sharp picture :c

Here's how I accomplished this mani :D
I used 2 coats of Skinny Vanilla Latte for complete coverage...

daylight, no flash.

Then I used Konad M65 and the Superstar - SoHo Chic to stanp on the rose pattern.

normal light, no flash.

The combo looks not so matchy in the picture above, but the foil is much more pink irl!

kittypic!

You know I'm not a fan of pink, but I think this mani is elegant and cute,

What do you think?

Catrice - Moulin Rouge Light

I know I already posted about this nailpolish, but because it had so many views I thought it deserved some better pictures!

normal light, no flash.

shadow, no flash and most colour accurate.

in direct sunlight, no flash.

kittypic!

As you can see it's a bit too pink for my skin, but I think it's very pretty. Everytime I look at my nails they look so elegant and pretty! I'm not a big fan of pink but this one is just amazing. It's a keeper! If the nudes ever go out of the collection I'll have to get myself a back-up!

Do you think I should swatch more old polishes who deserve better pictures? Please tell me which polish you'd like to see again!

Catrice - Moulin Rouge Light

You don't even know how ashamed I feel for not posting an entire WEEK! Seriously, I really am sorry... I've had on 2 manis and they both were boring or looked terrible when I made pictures. I don't even know if you want to see this...

Essence hello holo special effect topcoat.

Catrice Glamourista (already showed you this but feeling like red saturday lol!)

After that I got a bit sick of flashy manis, so why not try my newest nude? It's called Moulin Rouge Light and it's from Catrice (new collection: Ultimate Nudes).

normal light, with flash.

normal light, no flash. ugliest picture but most colour accurate!

close-up in sunlight.

It's really opaque for a nude, no VNL after only 2 coats! I don't really wear pinks, but I'll definitely make an exception for this one.

What do you think?
